Listening to this and checking out Kruger's "Covenant..." I was taken by often-pessimistic John Gray's comment: "This passionate manifesto for a new kind of conservatism will engage readers on every part of the political spectrum." A "new kind of conservatism" sounds by now like a tired genre. Not yet.
